The side effects of Nyquil!
All of us have been fighting off a nasty cold this last week. So needless to say that NYQUIL has been our friend all week! And So, last night I woke up from the funniest dream! I don't remember all the details but... it involved my youngest brother, Trevor. It was like he sent us a video of what he was upto or it was another blog or something. (Because I remember showing my family how to post a comment! hint...hint! (: ) Anyway... it was a video of his guest apperance on OPRAH. She was showcasing people with amazing talents. Oprah was standing on her stage when she announced "My next guest is here to showcase his amazing talents....Please welcome....Trevor McLean!
Just then the doors open up and reveals Trevor walking out in nothing but a TOWEL! He has a BIG smile on his face as he greets the audience and then continues to walk toward OPRAH! The camera pans out to reveal a giant HOTTUB. Trevor continues to walk up some stairs that leads to the edge of the hottub. He grabs the corner of his towel and whips it off in a sudden "Jim Carrey" kind of motion to reveal.... WHEW! YES- After all the speculation...he is indeed wearing swim trunks! He then proceeds to do A CANNONBALL into the hotub as OPRAH takes a seat next to him! The audience was in hysterics, as well as all of us in the family that was watching this!! I remember looking over at my mom as she was saying, "I CAN'T BELIEVE HE JUST DID THAT!".... I was all-"THAT's TOTALLY AWESOME! That's TOTALLY TREVOR!" (Which if you knew Trevor... I really wouldn't put it past him! HA!)
The camera goes back to OPRAH, who is cracking up and all she can say is,"...OH NO YOU DIDN'T!"
To which Trevor replies, "OH YES, OPRAH! I JUST DID!".... Then they just carry on with the interview as normal! I woke up with my cheeks hurting from laughing so hard! So- that is my dream of how Trevor makes a SPLASH on OPRAH! Albeit- A crazy dream...but no where near as funny as the dream that I had when Ben and I had a pleasant dinner with MATT Damon and his wife.
And that got me wondering... What's the most craziest dream YOU'VE ever had? If you see your name over on the friends and family list... I TAG you to blog about your craziest dream ever and then pass the tag on to any one you want to! SWEET DREAMS!!

Ahhhhh, the "WAZDAT" stage...
Ask any parent of a TODDLER- Everything is "WAZDAT?"...."WAZDAT?". I keep loosing count how many times a day I hear it. But ask the same parent and they'll tell you straight out- that it's their own fault. I too fell into that "what was I thinking!" catergory. It starts even before they're crawling, everything you ask them is "WAZDAT?" So of course it's only natural for your child to mimic this behavior. My only thought is....If THEY ever thought, "If they ask me that one more time...I'M GOING TO LOSE IT!" just as I am thinkging know...The world may never know!!
The Difference in How Men and Women Think~
So... Yesterday (Saturday)we had our new sectional cleaned. (Thanks for the great tips Torrey! You sure know your stuff!) Anyway, while I was brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed, I had mentioned to Ben that we should lift up the cushions a little to get some air under them and make sure that it will dry completly underneath. (As per the Cleaning Guy's suggestion so it won't mold.) So, Ben -being the FABULOUS husband that he is- ran downstairs to take care of it for me. When I got up the next morning, this is what I found... albeit-NOT what I had in mind! But it worked and was good for a laugh! :)

Ben decided to take our DVDs and use them to "prop" up the cushions. But I think that Mason liked the idea- it was much easier to get to his baby einstein videos! This is just another example of how men and women think differently!!

How Many MIRACLES Can Happen in a WEEK!
This is Jadyn, Mason's best little friend from daycare. She’s 3 ½ yrs old and the granddaughter of my daycare lady, Tina. This last week, we’ve been a
ble to watch a MIRACLE take place. As some of you know- last Friday, Jadyn was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was complaining that her “head hurt” and then she would throw up shortly after. This went on for about a week or two with the Pediatrician not knowing what was going on. After Jadyn continued with these symptoms (and with a big push from Grandma),
her Mom, Heather, questioned her boss- a physician, who in turn consulted another good friend who is a Pediatric Specialist. The result-Jadyn was scheduled immediately for an MRI which confirmed everyone’s worst fear. The tumor was in the base of her skull on the right side. It was the size of a nectarine, and to top it off- there was a large cyst above the tumor that added to the pressure on her brain. The doctor’s said that the tumor had almost completely enc
losed her brainstem and that her brain was slowly shutting down from fighting the constant pressure of the growing mass. After coming out of sedation following the MRI, she kept trying to get out of having to stay in the hospital. She kept saying, “Go to Grandma’s house-play with Mason!”
Needless to say, they immediately inserted a tube to slowly drain the cyst. After further review of her MRI, the Doctor determined that by its shape, that the tumor was probably benign. However, because of its placement-Jadyn probably would be MUTE for at least a year after the surgery and would not be able to use the right side of her body very well. Bracing for the worst- with the prayers and faith of many on her behalf, Jadyn was wheeled into surgery on Monday to remove the tumor. The morning of her surgery, I was driving and noticed a gorgeous RAINBOW that ended about in the same area as Tina’s house. I called Tina immediately to let her know about, what I took as, this GOOD omen. She said that she needed to hear that as Jadyn didn’t have a good night because she found a way to pull out her IV of morphine.
After about an 8 hour surgery, Tina texted us that it went well and that Jadyn was “laughing and wiggling all her fingers and toes!” Truly a miracle in itself!! The tumor did come back as “non-cancerous”. And her progress since has been absolutely remarkable as well! She could sing “twinkle-twinkle little star” and her ABC’s and could name all the names of all her friends from daycare! She is such a little trooper!!
The most amazing thing about all this was when Tina was telling me the importance of the cyst that was there by the tumor. By draining the cyst, it allowed there to be plenty of room for the surgeon to work to remove the entire tumor. Even if they HAD caught the tumor earlier, the cyst wouldn’t have been there and it would have been a lot more risky and difficult of a surgery. The Doctor’s would’ve had to move around more of the brain to get to the tumor and that’s always riskier for the patient’s recovery. Heavenly Father sure knows what he’s doing!
Jadyn has had the best possible outcome for such a scary ordeal! Through helping this family go through this, it has reiterated to me that even though we don’t know why…everything happens for a reason! Also, that when people, with different religious beliefs, come together and unite in the sole principles of Faith and the Power of Prayer…MIRACLES HAPPEN!!!
